Physical Godliness In Words
Physical godliness in words
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. (Matthew 12:36 NIV) For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37 NIV)
When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!” (Genesis 30:1 NIV)
The Bible teaches us do not let any unwholesome talk come out of our months arbitrary even if a negative mantra so that we can triumph over judgment. Do not say impatient words like Moses who even can not enter the Cannaan because of the impatient words resulting in a great loss for him and Isreal. Is it for our reference?
Rachel said some angry words to which she might not pay attention because of her infertility. It was unexpected to fulfill the curse which she cursed herself. She died when she had a child. The saints are chosen by God to become royal priesthoods that what we speak is in power so we need to be cautious of our tongue and devil bring no charge against those whom God has chosen. It is worthless to lost a lot of grace and blessing from God because of not keeping a tight rein on our tongues.
Then they moved on from Bethel. While they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel began to give birth and had great difficulty. And as she was having great difficulty in childbirth, the midwife said to her, “Don’t despair, for you have another son.” As she breathed her last—for she was dying—she named her son Ben-Oni. But his father named him Benjamin. So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). Over her tomb Jacob set up a pillar, and to this day that pillar marks Rachel’s tomb. (Genesis 35:16-20 NIV)
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:10-12 NIV)
If we are at fault in what we have said we should confess our sins to God and beg for his forgiveness.
Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone. (Proverbs 25:15 NIV) My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19 NIV)because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. (James 1:20 NIV)
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV)
