How to Pray for the Holy Spirit (Luck 11:5-13)
(1) Be earnestly. When we pray for the Holy Spirit, we must hunger and thirst for righteousness, as the deer pants for the water brooks.
(2) Be persistently. Speak out during prayer, just like son beg for food from father. Seriously pray and expect for receiving the Holy Spirit in the heart.
(3) Do not give up, pray for the Holy Spirit with full heart, but not half-heart.
(4) Receive the Holy Spirit by faith. The Holy Spirit is a promise from God. God want to give us this grace for free. We can receive this grace of receiving the Holy Spirit by our faith, but not by good deeds.
(5) Be humble and have faith. Those who come to God must believe that there is God and God must reward those who seek Him.
When we pray for the Holy Spirit, we can kneel down, put our hands into a cross and place it on our chest, and then close our eyes. The first sentence we say: “In the name of Jesus we pray."Then repeatedly to say: "Hallelujah, Hallelujah..." In our hearts, we early to pray God for giving us the Holy Spirit. At the end, we said: “Amen."
